According to the latest report, higher application/competition levels have been seen in subjects including:
- History
- Geography
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Chemistry

Because seats are subject-specific, candidates should check their own subject-wise merit position rather than comparing their marks directly with candidates from another subject.
VKSU PG Admission 2026: Is Qualifying in the Entrance Exam Enough?
No.
Qualifying in the entrance examination does not automatically mean that admission is confirmed.
The university has reported 8,087 successful candidates against 5,998 PG seats.
Therefore, the first merit list becomes important because it determines admission based on the applicable merit and available seats.
A candidate should check:
Entrance Result → Merit Position → College/Department Allotment → Admission Fee → Document Verification → Final Admission
VKSU PG 1st Merit List 2026 Cut Off
Candidates are also searching for the VKSU PG Cut Off 2026.
The actual admission cutoff should not be confused with the entrance-exam qualifying result.
The effective admission cutoff can vary by:
- Subject
- Category
- Number of seats
- Number of qualified candidates
- Entrance marks
- Merit position
- College/department
- Availability of seats
Therefore, a single cutoff number cannot accurately represent every VKSU PG subject.
Candidates should wait for the official merit list and allotment details instead of relying on an unofficial predicted cutoff.
VKSU PG 2026-28 Admission Process
The overall admission process can be understood as follows:

VKSU PG Result 2026 vs 1st Merit List 2026
Many candidates may confuse these two updates.
PG Entrance Result
The entrance result tells candidates whether they have qualified in the entrance examination and provides their examination performance/result status.
PG 1st Merit List
The merit list is related to admission and seat/college/department allotment.
Therefore:
Result = Entrance Examination Performance
Merit List = Admission Selection/Allotment
VKSU published the PG Entrance Exam 2026 result on September 18, 2026.
What If My Name Is Not in VKSU PG 1st Merit List?
If your name does not appear in the first merit list, do not immediately assume that the admission process is over.

Candidates should continue checking:

- Samarth Portal
- Admission notices
- College/department notices
Any second or subsequent merit list should be considered official only when published by VKSU.
